SAP UACP Dashboard

SAP User Assistance Content Platform Dashboard

With a team of 2 UX Designers and 1 UX Developer, we designed an internal Content Platform Dashboard for the User Assistance Team. The Dashboard needs to allow users to help the users manage their deliverables by uploading documentation, files, downloading outputs, etc. The idea is to represent hierarchical data in a tabular format and addressing the challenge of shared metadata.

The Challenge
One of the challenges we encountered while developing UACP was designing a deliverables dashboard that fit the needs of the users.
1. We started by conducting informal interviews to gather user requirements and better understand their workflows.
2. Following that, we performed some requirements analysis and mocked up a low-fidelity prototype, using Balsamiq.
3. We then conducted a second round of interviews/cognitive walkthroughs (in person or via Skype conference calls); we observed users performing tasks while speaking their thoughts out loud.
The purpose of this stage was to validate design and gather further feedback. After, we designed and iteratively developed for medium-fidelity prototype in HTML/CSS, Javascript, jQuery.
